You can’t fault PES 2017‘s gameplay but the lack of licensed teams and competitions may be an issue for some.
Thankfully, there’s a simple way of correcting this – an option file.

This file option contains the real names of all the teams and leagues, team kits, real logos, stadium names, real sponsors, and many other updates. Bundesliga and MLS championships have been added to the game. Compatible with PES 2021 DLC 1.0. Jupiler League 100%. 3F SuperLeague 100%. Premier League 100%. SKY BET Championship 100%. ProEvo Team released their ProEvo Original Patch 1.0. This mod does not include new teams it just updates teams already in the game and fixes unlicensed teams adding kits, logos and names. It doesn't change skills and leagues - it's an excellent graphic addition for your game - in online (there are all names, kits and logos), and in offline.
It’ll only work if you have the game on PS4 or PC.

To get it working, just follow our step-by-step guide below and you’ll be saying goodbye to Man Red in no time.
There are two stages:
Stage 1 is the kits.
Stage 2 is the competition emblems (which takes a bit more time).
How do I get the official kits in PES 2017?
Step 1: Create a folder on your USB
Firstly, plug your USB into a PC and create a new folder called “WEPES”.
Step 2: Download the file
Click this link and download the option file. It’ll be in a “Zip” folder (As it’s massive).
Once it’s downloaded, extract its contents and save on to your USB stick, making sure it’s in the “WEPES” folder.
Step 3: Boot up the game
Once you’re in the main menu, go into Extras – Edit – Data Management – Import / Export. Click “Import Team”.
Step 4: You’re almost done
Select all the files in the list and click “Next”.
Another box will pop up asking “Select team to import data to” and “Apply player and squad data”. Just keep them both un-ticked and click OK.
All kit files will now automatically download.
Then click “Save” when it pops up and you’ll now have all the correct kits.
How do I get authentic competition badges on PES 2017?
Step 1: Importing
Head back into import/export and click “Import images”.
A box will then pop up… click: “Competition Emblems” and click “OK”.
In the next screen, just click “Import selected images” then click the competitions (So a tick pops up in each one) on the right side of the screen. Click “OK”.
Step 2: The tricky bit
Now comes the time-consuming part.
Click “Edit Menu” – “Competitions” (If it doesn’t just come up automatically).
Then click into each competition, click “Emblem” – “Load”, then select the emblem you want to replace the default one.
Once you’re done, click “Save”.
Step 3: Enjoy
That’s it, you’re all set.
