Unfortunately, the people from Microsoft doesn’t think in HMI programmers, because the internal drivers has been changed…
Because of that we have found a solution to support those new drivers on our HMI’s.

So if you have a new Windows 7 or Windows Vista and your drivers doesn’t works, don’t worry, and just follow the next steps:

1 – Check the firmware of your HMI.
The first firmware version with the new Windows 7 drivers is V2.0170. If your HMI have a lower firmware version, please Update the HMI trough XP computer or serial port.

2 – Once you have the proper firmware, go to the system menu, and choose system setting.

3 – Then look for the MISC menu, and there you should found the option called “USBCommMode.”

4 – You only need to change that USBCommMode option from 0 to 1.
USBCommMode = 0 (Windows XP)
USBCommMode = 1 (Windows Vista & Windows 7)

Problem Solved

The USB product models that do not need to manually install the driver are: (Note: Please carefully check the model on the white label of the product package (Model)
USB-LOGO/CA3-USBCB-01/0CB20/3DB30/USB-Mini/USB-Micro/USB-square port
After the above products are plugged into the computer’s USB port, a yellow question mark or exclamation mark will appear in the “other devices” in the computer device manager

Approach:
Click the right mouse button to update the driver, select the entire disk where the PLC or HMI programming software is installed as the update path, select automatic search, and the search is complete.

Except for the above models, all other USB products need to install the driver before use

How to determine which driver to install
Step 1: Insert the product USB port into the computer USB port;
Step 2. Open the device manager of the computer to see the port prompt.

When this prompt appears, please install the CH340 driver

When this prompt appears, please install the FTDI driver

CH340 DRIVER

After plugging the communication cable into the computer, check the device manager, it will appear before the driver is installed: yellow exclamation mark USB2.0-Serial; after installation, USB-SERIAL CH340 (COM3) will appear. Note: COM3 is just an example, the COM port generated by each computer is different, and the actual generated port shall prevail.

When the computer has not installed the driver, after plugging the communication cable into the computer, the device manager will appear: yellow exclamation mark FT232R USB UART, after installation, it will appear: USB Serial Port (COM3). Note: COM3 is just an example, the ports appearing on each computer may be different, the actual situation shall prevail.
